Box Score The Varsity Boys' basketball team traveled to Pleasant Valley High School to take on the Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions in the District XI 1A championship game on 2/28/25.
In front of an electrifying and deafening crowd, the Panthers would send their fans home proud with a championship. It would not come easy however, as the Lions kept up with the Panthers early on resulting in a close game. All five starters played key roles on both ends of the floor in helping the Panthers pull away from the Lions. At halftime, the Panthers held a slight 28-20 lead over the Lions. Momentum never left the Panthers in the second half as Deion Swift scored many acrobatic layups to keep the crowd roaring. Roman Rex and Deion Swift then both scored three-pointers late, to seal the win for the Panthers. At the sound of the final buzzer, the Panthers had won by a score of 63-48 to win their first District XI 1A championship in school history. Scorers include Deion Swift (22), Myles Harris (15), Roman Rex (14), and Gabe Transue (12).
The Varsity Boys' basketball team will be back for the state playoffs when they travel to Easton Middle School to take on the Bucktail Bucks. Gametime is set for 6:00 pm on Friday, March 7th.
