Box Score The Varsity girls basketball team traveled to West Philadelphia to take on the Jaguars of Motivation High School in the first round of the PIAA 1A State Playoffs on Saturday, March 8th. 

The Panthers and Jaguars went toe-to-toe in the first half.  Abigail Wilson scored 11 of her 14 points in the first half by knocking down 3 treys. The Panthers held a slight edge going into halftime by a score of 20-19.  BCS came out of the half looking like a team determined to keep playing into the next round.  Giana Kasper went off. Kasper nailed two three big threes and was clutch at the free throw line. 17 of Giana's 26 points came in the 2nd half. The Panther's also received points from Liah Cornelius (4), Aubrey Merisca (3), and Paige Kreidler (2). Defensively, BCS shut down the Jaguars offense in the second half.  The Panthers only allowed 13 second half points and pulled away to win the programs first ever state playoff game by a score of 49-34. 

Bethlehem Christian will be back on the court for round of the PIAA 1A State Playoffs when they travel to Hamburg high school on Wednesday, March 12th to take on Lourdes Regional. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm.
