Nazareth, PA - The Varsity Panthers Soccer team took the pitch for the first time in 2024 on a warm afternoon playing against Faith Christian (Roseto).  

The game was tight early on with neither side gaining much momentum in the first half. However, Faith Christian was the first to strike with a goal on a free kick, which made the score 1-0. With just minutes left in the first half, Faith Christian found the back of the net again putting them up 2-0 at the halftime break. There was no quit in this Panthers team on this Tuesday afternoon, however. Junior, Josh Richards scored a penalty kick midway through the second half to inch closer to the Lions of Faith Christian which made the score 2-1. Faith Christian was able to find the back of the net off of a corner soon after, which increased their lead to 3-1. With just minutes left in the second half, senior, Owen Wescoe broke through the defense and scored a goal, which was assisted by junior, Gabe Transue. This goal pulled the Panthers closer to Faith Christian, however, it proved to be too little too late as the Panthers ultimately fell to a final score of 3-2.

Your Varsity Panthers Soccer team will be back in action on Thursday, August 29 when they host Upper Bucks Christian School. Kickoff is set for 4:45 pm.
