Easton, PA - The Varsity Panthers soccer team hosted the Lions of Lincoln Leadership Academy on Tuesday, October 8th. 

The last time the Panthers played the Lions, they were able to possess the ball for a good portion of the game and the Panthers were able to do the same this game as well. Despite the Panthers taking many shots on goal in the first half, none were able to find the back of the net which led to the score being knotted up at 0-0 at halftime. The second half proved to be different as the Panthers were able to convert on their opportunities. Junior, Josh Richards got the scoring started by scoring a corner kick goal through traffic which gave the Panthers a lead of 1-0. Then, just minutes later, Josh Richards scored a penalty kick which gave the Panthers a 2-0 lead. Soon after, senior, Owen Wescoe scored a goal while being deep into Lion territory off of an assist from Josh Richards. Owen Wescoe then scored his second goal in the contest this time off of an assist from junior, Nick Kasper. The Panthers were able to run away from the Lions by the end of this game by winning with a score of 4-0. This win has given the Panthers confidence leading into the playoffs next week.

The Varsity Panthers soccer team will play their regular season finale at home on Thursday, October 10, when they take on the Patriots from Valley Forge Baptist Academy. Kickoff is set for 4:45 pm.
