Box Score Allentown, PA - The Bethlehem Christian Panthers traveled across the Lehigh Valley for a game against the Mustangs of Lehigh Christian. The Panthers walked away with a convincing 38-16 win to open their season.
Four Panthers scored in the opening frame for BCS.
Elyse Khachadourian,
Angelina Hernandez,
Ava Grace Harris, and
Makayla Willard all converted on their attempts from the floor to help the Panthers jump out to an 8-4 lead after 1.
Bethlehem Christian continued to play stout defense and limit the opportunities for the Mustangs.
Abigail Wilson,
Erica Meyers and
Liah Cornelius contributed on the scoreboard to push the Panther lead to 9 as the BCS went into the half with a 19-10 lead.
As the 3rd period began,
Abigail Wilson began to heat up. Wilson drove to the hoop after a beautiful crossover move and was able to convert the easy layup. Throughout the 3rd period
Abigail Wilson scorced the Mustangs with 7 points. Along with Wilson,
Elyse Khachadourian,
Ava Grace Harris, and
Carolyn Smith all got in on the scoring act. After a big 3rd period by the Panthers, BCS led 32-12.
Bethlehem Christian used a monster 3rd quarter to cruise into and through the 4th period. BCS recorded 17 steals and held LCA to 16 points throughout the contest. The Panthers opened up their season with a convincing 38-16 win.
