Bethlehem Christian once again made history on Thursday, April 3rd. The Middle school boys baseball team played in their first game in program history by traveling to Upper Bucks Christian School. The Panthers won by a score of 14-0 off of outstanding pitching and timely hitting.
Luis Rodriguez was dominant on the bump, as the pitcher rang up 10 strikeouts in the Panthers 14-0 victory over Upper Bucks Christian on Thursday. Luis surrendered one hit and zero runs over four innings while walking one.
The Panthers got on the board in the top of the first inning after James Smith grounded out, Micah Wilson walked, Coltin Weadock walked, Lucas Cornelius singled, and Jaxon Heisler walked, each scoring one run.
BCS extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI walks by Micah Wilson and Jaxon Heisler.
The Panthers MS added one run in the third after Ethan Wilson singled.
BCS scored five runs on two hits in the top of the fourth inning. Ethan Wilson was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Micah Wilson drew a walk, scoring one run, Hunter Hockenberry drew a walk, scoring one run, Lucas Cornelius drew a walk, scoring one run, and Jaxon Heisler drew a walk, scoring one run.
Jaxon Heisler led the team with three runs batted in. Ethan Wilson, Luis Rodrigues, James Smith, and Lucas Cornelius each collected one hit for BCS Panthers MS. Jaxon Heisler led the Panthers with four walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up 19 walks for the game. Jaxon Heisler, Uriah Lesser, and Luis Rodriguez each stole multiple bases for BCS. The Panthers ran wild on the base paths, tallying six stolen bases for the game. BCS Panthers MS were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
