Easton, PA - The Bethlehem Christian Panther Volleyball teams welcomed the Patriots of Valley Forge Baptist to BCS on Tuesday evening. Both the middle school and varsity teams played thrilling matches in front of the home crowd as the Panthers won both matches by going the distance.
The girl's middle school team dropped the first set 25-14 but were able to bounce back. The Panthers built a second set lead thanks for terrific play at the net from
Rees Wildasin and Lilly Barry. While Barry and Wildasin controlled the net, The Panthers received long service runs from
McKenzie Wildasin and AnaLia Rex. BCS won the second set by a score of 25-16. The Panthers continuned to use the moment from the second set and took it into the third. Behind the serves of AnaLia Rex and
Rees Wildasin, the Panthers rolled to a 15-5 final set win to take the match from the Patriots. The Panthers improved to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play.
The girl's varsity volleyball team also dropped the first against the Patriots (25-18). The Patriots also took set #2 from the Panthers by a score of 25-15. This Panther's volleyball team never gives up and will continue to battle until the last point. With their backs up against the wall, the Panthers needed to win the final three remaining sets. BCS got to work. The Panthers were able to keep the third set close and overtake the Patriots late. BCS won set #3 by a score of 25-23. Now with all of the momentum, the Panthers were able to build a big lead throughout set #4. BCS led by as many as 10 points but the Patriots were able to close the gap. The Panthers hung tough and finished off Valley Forge in set #4 by a score of 25-20. Now heading to the 5th and final set, the two teams continued to battle in a thriller. BCS clawed their way to small lead and were able to hold off the Patriots and win the final 5th set by a score of 15-10. The thrilling come from behind win gives the Panthers their 5th win on the season.

Both Panther Volleyball teams will be in action on Thursday, September 28th on their home floor. The middle school will get things started against Windsor Christian at 3:45 pm. The Varsity will begin at 5:00 pm.
